The input level gauge is based on the principle that the measured hydrostatic pressure is proportional to the height of the liquid. The piezoresistive effect of diffused silicon or ceramic sensitive components is used to convert the static pressure into an electrical signal. After temperature compensation and linear correction, it is converted into a 4-20mADC standard current signal output. The sensor part of the input static pressure level transmitter can be directly put into the liquid, and the transmitter part can be fixed by flange or bracket, which is very convenient for installation and use.

Structure and composition
The two-wire input level gauge consists of a special air-conducting cable with a built-in capillary hose, a pressure-resistant connector and a probe. The probe configuration of the input level gauge is a stainless steel core with a diaphragm at the bottom and is covered by a perforated plastic housing. The level measurement is actually the difference between the hydrostatic pressure on the probe and the actual atmospheric pressure, and then the ceramic sensor (attached to the stainless steel film) and the electronic components convert the differential pressure into a 4-20 mA output signal.
